Conscious Leadership is a model of leadership development that has the potential to transform the culture of your organisation. We know that today's businesses are struggling with challenging questions such as: How do we remain profitable and engage our staff with meaning and purpose? How do we build individual and organisational resilience and create a sustainable work environment? How do we rebuild trust with our market? Yet, for the most part the solution remains elusive because most organisations are seeking to "solve the problem from the same level of consciousness that created it".
We believe that the models of leadership that currently predominate are part of the problem, not part of the solution. As a society, we desperately need new models of leadership if we are to respond effectively to the hugely challenging environment in which we live and work.
Given this need to rethink our traditional approach to leadership, we at the Parallax Partnership have developed a new leadership strategy and model: Conscious Leadership( See also; The Conscious Leadership Programme?). The Conscious Leadership model describes this new and emerging territory. At its heart, Conscious Leadership is about the transformation from 'ego-full' to an ever more expanding and 'ego-less' state of being. So, Conscious Leaders are able to move beyond the ego in leading others; as they do so, they become centred in a mindset of greater service, expansion, creativity and engagement. We need to assist our leaders in waking up to the limitations of operating and leading from the ego and in how to move beyond this leadership state as the potential benefits to the individual and to organisations are considerable.
